Location: London
The Role
We are looking for a head of production who has experience managing, developing, training, and coaching a high performing production team as well as producing industry leading conferences. Reporting to the Co-Founder, you will work together with the Senior Management Team and Marketing, Operations and Sales to support our ambitious fast growth event vision.
Conference Production
- You are developing sophisticated conferences, services and business platforms for senior executives from the retail and supply chain industry - in Europe & USA
- You conduct market research with leading experts to ascertain and validate event content
- You identify the latest business trends and discuss their development with senior executives worldwide
- You identify leading global players and industry leaders to secure top level speakers
- You are in charge of in-depth sales, marketing and project briefs summarising the main findings of your research for the wider project team
- You develop new event formats, interactive sessions and new business opportunities for digital and live events
- You create inspiring content about your event for the website and other marketing channels
- You run your events onsite, network with senior executives and develop future business
Team Management
- You will head up a production team of 3 which as part of your role will grow further and develop into a high performing team, building talent, skills and career pathways
- You provide coaching, training, and development to enhance skills and create a learning and rewarding environment
- You manage and develop direct reports using KPIS to track performance
- You recruit and train new members of the team
- You carry out appraisals and performance reviews
- You guide day to day activities of the production team
- You ensure all events have full and accurate event briefs, considering all relevant national and international holidays and events and competitive events
- You manage the integration of the production team with wider event team stakeholders to support high performing and collaborative team approach
- You stay ahead of latest event technologies and in event experience design trends and ensure Savant Events is at the cutting edge
- You create future event calendars taking into consideration competitive events, holidays and internal processes
- You will be responsible for the overall commercial performance of the events portfolio, working together with Sales, Operations and Marketing to ensure that each event delivers against its speaker, delegate and spex numbers and quality as well as overall event revenue
Your Profile
- Experience delivering outstanding event content and experiences (B2B or B2C, physical and digital)
- Proven and successful leader of a team, able to inspire and motivate
- Proven ability to design and deliver stand out event content and agendas which drive customer growth, satisfaction and ROI
- Proven ability to innovate through the event experience
- Proven ability to deliver against commercial goals
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with disciplines to optimise the events commercial performance
- Strong Project Management skills
- Ability to communicate and report clearly at a senior level
- Commercial awareness by creating creative ways of growing revenue streams and attracting the attendees we need
- Can operate at a senior strategic as well as operational level
- Ability to think creatively and commercially
- Positive in nature, able to both develop and get the best out of those around them

The Role
As a Marketing Manager you will have complete responsibility for creating and executing innovative marketing plans for all our events.
Your Job
- STRATEGY & EXECUTION: Planning and executing marketing campaigns for up to 12 events per year, including eMail Marketing, social media, blog posts, interviews, landing pages, branding, analytics, SEO
- COPYWRITING & CONTENT: Have excellent English grammar and diction and be able to write copy and design emails, letters, interviews, website and social media
- COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT: Maximizing opportunities with speakers, sponsors and publications and building up a community for the events
- DATABASE: Advanced segmentation and data building strategies, profiling attendees and creating targeted messages for all our marketing content
- ANALYSIS: Creating profit analysis for all marketing plans taking into consideration the ROI
- CREATIVE IDEAS & DESIGN: Creating content and design for banners, social media posts, brochures, blog posts and other marketing assets
- NEGOTIATION: Establishing strategic partnerships to enhance the presence of the Savant brand and events
- ON-SITE ENGAGEMENT: Get involved by engaging the audience, doing prize draws, quizzes and other interactive formats that make the event more memorable
Your Profile
- Bachelor or master graduate in business, marketing, communications or digital media
- Min of 4 years of experience in a marketing agency or event company or any other related sector
- Very good knowledge of marketing tools like Hubspot and Google Analytics
- Great copywriting skills for all our marketing communications
- Very good knowledge of data segmentation, data building, profiling attendees
- Experience managing social media platforms like linkedin and engaging with members in a professional way to build up a community for Savant Events
- You work in a organized and structured way to make sure that you meet your deadlines
- Previous experience in retargeting, display and AdWords campaigns is highly desired
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills both in team and autonomous environments
- Quick learner, strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to understand complex tasks and approach them with a can do attitude

We are rapidly expanding our event portfolio and as a direct consequence of this we are looking for Sponsorship Managers to join our sponsorship sales team. You will be selling sponsorship opportunities for the Savant eCommerce Series, one of the most high-end boutique conferences in the industry. Reporting directly to our Sales Director you will be expected to meet and exceed agreed goals and targets. You will need to be able to demonstrate particularly strong questioning skills, developed from at least 2 years of consultative selling to senior decision makers, and in a target driven environment. This role is ideal for an ambitious sponsorship sales manager with a strong track record, looking to move their career to the next level. Conference sponsorship sales experience is a preference but not a prerequisite.
The Delegate Sales Representative is responsible for calling and getting high-level retail executives on board for our eCommerce flagship events. You will be selling VIP tickets and delegate passes across our event portfolio, including the established Savant e-Commerce Series and upcoming launch events. Reporting directly to our Sales Director you will be expected to meet and exceed agreed goals and targets. This role is ideal for an ambitious delegates sales manager with a strong track record, looking to move their career to the next level. Delegate sales experience is a preference but not a prerequisite.
