She studied at the State Ballet School of Berlin. She was a soloist with the Bavarian State Ballet (1996–2005), where her repertory included Mats Ek’s Giselle and roles created for her in Shannon Rose and Hosseinpour’s Petrushka. As an opera choreographer she works with directors including David Alden, Leiser and Caurier, Loy and Pountney – at the Vienna State Opera, the Festival in Salzburg, the Oper in Zurich, Teatro Real Madrid, The Royal Oper House, London and many more.
She was resident choreographer at the Bavarian State Opera (2005–8).
She has choreographed the ballets Don Quichotte, Romeo et Juliette (Berlioz), Peer Gynt and directed Orpheo et Euridice, Der Vogelhändler and Die Zirkusprinzessin.
From 2014-2019 she was the Director of the Dance Company in the Theater St.Gallen.
In the year 2019 she was appointed as ballet director at the Oper Graz, where she created „The seasons“ from J.Haydn and „Cinderella“ from S.Prokofjev.
